NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed 50 cents a bale higher to $1.15 lower Tuesday. The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton advanced 7 points to 71.50 cents per pound Tuesday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
