NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed $1.35 a bale lower to $2.05 higher Thursday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton advanced 2 points to 71.10 cents per pound Thursday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
