NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed $1.65 to $2.70 a bale lower Friday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton declined 31 points to 70.79 cents per pound Friday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
