NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed $2.70 to $4.45 a bale lower Monday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton declined 62 points to 67.69 cents per pound Monday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
