Grain futures mostly rise, beef prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain prices mostly rose Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 2.50 cents to $7.93 a bushel; March corn rose 4.50 cents to $7.01 a bushel; March oats fell 3.75 cents to $3.56 a bushel; while January soybeans jumped 14.25 cents to $14.23 a bushel.

Beef futures fell, while pork futures rise on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle fell 0.30 cent to $1.3320 a pound; January feeder cattle fell 0.57 cent to $1.5170 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.07 cent to 86.52 cents a pound.
