LONDON (AP) — NASCAR was recognized Wednesday for its efforts in social change at the Beyond Sport's annual summit.

NASCAR chairman Brian France was part of a panel discussion "Mobilizing Millions" that highlighted the sports' efforts in green, diversity and charitable giving.

France says its an honor for NASCAR to be included, and was particularly proud because the event focuses on non-competition initiatives. He says its important for NASCAR to be included among major organizations.

The Beyond Sport summit celebrates, promotes and drive sport-led social change. The event features networking opportunities, panels and work sessions that leaders from sports, business and government.

Among those participating this year were Muhammad Ali, David Beckham and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
