NEW GAMES: Nintendo unleashed 23 games for its upcoming console, Wii U, which features a touchscreen controller.

CAST OF CHARACTERS: Mario and zombies, plus a virtual theme park. Among the titles announced were the cooperative platform game "New Super Mario Bros. U" and the amusement park-themed mini-game collection "NintendoLand."

WHAT'S NEW: The titles employ what the company is calling "asymmetric gameplay." Players using the touchscreen controller have a different experience from those armed with traditional Wii controllers.
