TORONTO (AP) — Police on Tuesday identified the victim whose body parts were found scattered around Toronto as a single mother of three who owned a now-defunct spa.

The head, foot and hands were of 41-year-old Guang Hua Liu were discovered in a river west of Toronto last week. Over the weekend, her two calves, a thigh and an arm were found in an east end Toronto creek.

Peel Region Insp. George Koekkoek said all the body parts have been forensically linked to Liu, a Canadian citizen of Chinese descent. She was last seen alive August 10 when she was dropped off at work by friends.

The discoveries received extra attention following the case of porn actor Luka Magnotta, who is accused of dismembering a Chinese student in Montreal and mailing his body parts to political parties and a school. Police previously ruled out any connection.

Police still do not know how Liu died. Koekkoek said it's too early to talk about a suspect, but said they don't believe there are other victims.

Investigators have executed several search warrants, but those searches did not turn up any more body parts, Koekkoek said.

He said parts of Liu's body have yet to be recovered.
