WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Purdue quarterback Robert Marve has re-torn the ACL in his left knee and will be out at least a few weeks. It's the third torn ACL of Marve's injury-riddled college career. "It's significant enough to hold him out for a while," Purdue coach Danny Hope said Tuesday. Marve completed 11 of 18 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown against Notre Dame this past Saturday before being injured on a sack late in the fourth quarter of a 20-17 loss. Hope said he expects the sixth-year senior to try to play with a brace. "It is torn, but we anticipate him making an attempt to come back and play this season," Hope said. It is possible that Marve's career is over. He was granted a sixth year of eligibility during the offseason, and with the injuries mounting, Hope understands that Marve might elect not to continue. "A lot of that will be up to Robert," Hope said. "He'll be out for at least a couple weeks, and then he'll have the option of whether he'll come back and play or not." Marve first injured the knee in the summer of 2009 after he transferred from Miami. He started the first four games of 2010 at Purdue before re-injuring the knee and missing the rest of the season. This season, Marve started the opener against Eastern Kentucky after starter Caleb TerBush was suspended and passed for a career-high 295 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-6 win. TerBush, who regained his starting job after missing the opener, will start Saturday against Eastern Michigan. TerBush threw a dramatic touchdown pass to Antavian Edison on fourth down to tie the game against Notre Dame late. Rob Henry moves up to No. 2 on the depth chart. Henry began last season as the starter, but he tore his right ACL just before the start of the season and missed the year. Henry, most dangerous as a runner but improving as a passer, is back and is nearly healthy. "Obviously, we're going to play Caleb and play Caleb a lot. Rob Henry brings a much different dimension to us as a quarterback and as an athlete to the playing field."
