ARE, Sweden (AP) — World Cup slalom champion Marlies Schild has withdrawn from Thursday's race in Are after she was injured during a crash in training. Schild hurt her right knee and her back and returned to Austria to have the knee checked in a hospital in Innsbruck. Schild says in statement released by the Austrian ski federation: "I caught a bump and landed on my back, while the ski hurt my knee when I rolled over."
