NEW YORK (AP) — Smooth Bert and Kelli Got Frosty won $80,000 stakes races for New York bred 2-year-olds Sunday in the slop at Aqueduct. Smooth Bert, ridden by Mike Luzzi for trainer Leah Gyarmati, took the Damon Runyon by three quarters of a length over Notacatbutallama for his second win in five starts. He paid $10.40 to win, running the mile in 1:39.70. Kelli Got Frosty romped to a 9½-length win over Agilion as the 2-5 favorite in the East End for fillies. It was her third victory in five starts. Cornelio Velasquez was aboard for trainer Rudy Rodriguez. Kelli Got Frosty was timed for the mile in 1:39.19 and paid $2.80 to win.
