MADRID (AP) — Spain's royal palace says King Juan Carlos will undergo surgery next month for a lower back disc hernia. It will be the 75-year-old monarch's second operation in recent months. He had hip surgery last November. The palace said the king will undergo the hernia operation in a Madrid hospital on Mar. 3. The king has had several other health issues in the past two years, including knee surgery and the removal of a benign lung tumor.
