LONDON (AP) — A British union has called off a pre-Olympics strike by immigration staff at London's Heathrow Airport.

The Public and Commercial Services Union made the announcement Wednesday. Union officials say they have made progress in negotiations.

Britain's Home Office says it welcomes the decision.
